Cancer screening

Did you know that breast cancer is the most common type of cancer amongst Canadian women?

Did you know that colorectal cancer accounts for 10% of new cancer diagnoses in Canada?

Learn More about Colorectal and Breast Cancer Screening

How to access essential cancer screenings, even without access to a primary care provider.

The chances of a positive outcome following a breast or colorectal cancer diagnosis increase if it’s caught early, which is why it’s important that we all stay up to date on preventative cancer screenings. Many people are behind on routine screenings due to difficulties accessing primary care, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Check out these videos to learn more about how breast and colorectal cancer screening is done, and how to access screening (even without a primary care provider). Please share with your patients, clients, and networks!

Late for your appointment

Many doctors strive to be as on time as possible.

An appointment starting late can cause a domino effect on subsequent appointments.

Therefore, we have a policy regarding delays:

… will be considered a missed appointment (a $30 fee may be requested).

Notify us of any delays or cancellations of appointments so that you do not have to pay any fees. In addition, any minute of delay will not be added to your appointment. So, if you have a 30-minute appointment at 1:00 p.m. and you arrive at 1:10 p.m., the appointment will still end at 1:30 p.m.

Green Box

The Green Food Box is a non-profit program that brings neighbouring communities together to buy a variety of quality fresh fruits and vegetables at a wholesale price. Green Food Box customers save money because we purchase our produce in bulk from trustworthy suppliers. When possible, we try to purchase all of our fruits and vegetables locally. More information on the Green Food Box is available online at www.greenfoodbox.ca.

We appreciate the help of our dedicated volunteers!
